School Lunch Program

With this announcement, HFS makes known its policy for children unable to pay the full price for meals served under the National School Lunch Program. A copy of the policy is available in the School Office or in the Parish Office for your review. Children from families whose annual income is at or between $17,160 and $62,160, depending on family size (actual Family Size Income Scale is posted outside the school office) may be eligible for free or reduced meal prices. Please see Mrs. Karls for details.

Scholarship Assistance Fund

HFS is seeking financial contributions for the Scholarship Assistance Fund. All contributors will be fully applied to this purpose. Any donations can be directed to the school office. Thank you for your consideration of this fund and the students who are helped because of it.

Journey of Lent

HFS students are taking part in many activities during Lent. In addition to donating to a variety of organizations, students are attending Stations of the Cross and a Lenten Penance Service. We welcome families and friends to join us on Wednesday, March 31 at 8:30am for shadow Living Stations in the gymnasium.

Taste Sensation

Thank you to all who supported the HFS Taste Sensation - "Come to the Tropics". The event was well received and enjoyed by all who attended. Countless blessing to the many volunteers and businesses who donated their time and talents.

GRACE Website With Opportunity for Feedback and Questions

As of Catholic Schools Week, the GRACE website established an email section for our school parents, parishioners and community members to email feedback and questions about the GRACE collaboration. Please go to www.gracesystem.org to access information and to provide responses on various system topics. The more we collaborate in the design of the system the more effective we should be in the full operation of the school year 2011/12.

3-Year-Old Pre-school

4K and 5-Year-Old Kindergarten

If you have a kindergarten age child (age 4 or age 5 before September 1, 2010) or know of a family with a kindergarten age child for the 2010-2011 school year, please call the office. We have registration forms available for children entering four-year-old or five-year-old kindergarten in the fall of 2010. Four-year-old kindergarten students who attend the all day sessions will have the opportunity to participate in physical education, music class, etc. If you have any questions please call. Registration at All GRACE Catholic Schools

GRACE schools continue to do their own registrations for the 2010-11 school year. School information and forms can be accessed by going to www.gracesystem.org and clicking on the individual names of the ten elementary-middle schools. Notre Dame Academy is our Catholic high school partner. During 2010-11, the principals will be employees of GRACE. During 2011-12 teachers and support staff will be employees of GRACE. Continuing from 2009-10, the principals will work as part of a Leadership Team helping to assure an efficient and effective transition from parish schools to system schools in 2011-12. The important message is that children are welcome to become part of a quality GRACE Catholic school family at any grade level from PreK-3 to Grade 8. Questions may be sent directly to the individual school of interest or by email to cconwaygerhardt@gbdioc.org or called in to 499-7330.

Things We Collect

	All throughout the summer Holy Family School will continue to collect: "Box Tops for Education" from General Mills boxtops "Give 'Em Five" from Kemps specially marked caps and proof of purchase symbols "Kids Caps & Cash" from Morning Glory specially marked caps & proof of purchase symbols used inkjet cartridges If you have other things such as art supplies, yarn, recycled envelopes and more then please think of our school and we might be able to use it. Thank you. Also located in Lobas Lounge are containers placed there by the Lion's Club for you to deposit your old prescription eye glasses and hearing aids; the Knights of Columbus are collecting old cell phones for Special Olympics; and the Mission Office of the diocese is asking for rosaries to be sent to the missions or donations for shipping - no prayer books please. Brown paper grocery bags are collected for the St. Vincent de Paul Store. Supplies are also requested for "Riah's Rainbow". Mass Schedule

Please join us for HFS liturgies. Grades 1-5 attend Mass at St. Agnes on Tuesdays at 8:45am. Grades 6-8 attend Mass on Thursdays at 8:45am. All are welcome to pray with us.
